How to Protect Your Wallet Before It's Stolen
Men use wallets not only to carry around their cash but as a means of storing bank cards, a driver's license, health cards and other important documentation. If your wallet is stolen, not only does the thief in question get all your hard-earned money, but also your identification, which could lead to identity theft. It is important that you keep your wits about you at all times and take appropriate safety precautions to prevent your wallet from being stolen in the first place. Although most pieces of I.D. can be replaced, your cash will be gone for good if stolen. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Put your wallet in your front pocket as opposed to your back pocket. Since most men tend to put their wallets in their back pocket, this is the first place a pickpocket will look to find it. Also, since your back pocket is behind you, you are less likely to see someone standing behind you attempting to steal it.

2
Avoid leaving your wallet in your vehicle where it can be stolen by thieves willing to break a window. If you do decide to leave your wallet in the car, make sure it is out of sight so thieves will be less tempted to enter your vehicle. Also, make sure the doors are locked and that you have an alarm system to prevent a break-in.

3
Keep a constant eye on those around you if you want to prevent a pickpocket from stealing your wallet. If you suspect you are being targeted, walk in an unpredictable pattern and avoid letting the pickpocket get near you in a crowd.
-
4
Stay in areas that are populated and avoid going places by yourself. You are less likely to be mugged and have your wallet stolen in broad daylight than in a dark alleyway at night, so use common sense. However, keep a close eye on your wallet in large crowds as people "bumping into you" could be beneficial to a pickpocket trying to steal your wallet.
-
5
Avoid counting out money in front of street vendors or store clerks. When you take out a large wad of money and count it out, you are showing potential pickpockets and thieves exactly what they have to gain from stealing your wallet. Be discrete when paying for items and keep as little cash on you as possible.
