Things You'll Need:

  • 1C FLOUR
  • 1/2tsp SALT
  • 1/3C SHORTENING (BUTTER FLAVOR)
  • 3T COLD WATER
  1. Step 1
    INGREDIENTS FOR YOUR PIE CRUST

    IN A MIXING BOWL COMBINE FLOUR AND SALT, SIFT TOGETHER. NEXT PUT SHORTENING INTO FLOUR MIXTURE. NEXT SPRINKLE WATER ONTO MIXTURE. ROLL INTO A BALL.

    NEXT SPRINKLE LITTLE FLOUR ONTO TABLE WHERE YOU WILL ROLL OUT THE CRUST WITH A ROLLING PIN. FLIP CRUST ONTO PIE PAN PRESSING DOWN INTO PAN AND PINCHING THE EDGES, TRIM IF NEEDED.

  3. Step 3
    CRUST ON THE PAN BEFORE PINCHING THE EDGES
    CRUST ON THE PAN BEFORE PINCHING THE EDGES

    IF CRUST NEEDS TO BE BAKED FIRST, HEAT OVEN TO 425 DEGREES, GENTLY POKE HOLES WITH A FORK INTO THE CRUST TO RELEASE ANY AIR THAT WILL BUILD DURING BAKING. BAKE AT 8-10 MINUTES REMOVE FROM OVEN AND LET COOL. YOUR CRUST IS READY.

  • THESE CAN BE FREEZED FOR LATER USE.
  • KEEP UNUSED CRUSTS IN FREEZER TILL READY TO COOK
  • DO NOT LET YOUR CRUST COME TO ROOM TEMPERATURE
