This delicious honey mustard can be used as a dip, salad dressing, or even a light sandwich spread. It is very similar to Wendy's chicken nugget dipping sauce. This recipe will show you how to make a thinner or a thicker type of sauce.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise (I prefer Hellmann's)
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard (prepared)
  1. Step 1

Gather all ingredients and pour into a small mixing bowl.

  2. Step 2

Whisk by hand until thoroughly mixed. No mayonnaise "lumps" should be visible in the mixture. The mixture should be completely smooth.

  3. Step 3

If you prefer a thicker sauce, add mayonnaise (about 1 tablespoon at a time) and taste often to ensure a satisfactory flavor. If using as a salad dressing, the consistency will probably be satisfactory without adding additional mayonnaise. For a thicker sauce (such as a sandwich spread), I will add up to 3 extra tablespoons of mayonnaise.

  4. Step 4

Store covered in the refrigerator, using an airtight container when possible. When taking out of the refrigerator, give the mixture a quick stirring for even consistency. This recipe can easily be doubled, tripled, or multiplied.
