How to Make Friends in the Creature Phase of Spore

One of the two ways to deal with other species in the Creature Phase is to try and communicate with them. This is simple in the early stages of the Creature Phase, but grows increasingly difficult.

Instructions

1. Try and catch a single animal. Communicating with groups of other species is considerably tougher. If they are bunched up, back away and let them spread out before you try communicating again.

2. Get the parts. There are many body parts you can acquire which allow you to facilitate communications with other species. Make sure your creature has at least a little skill in Singing, Dancing, Charming and Posing as soon as possible. Many species only respond to one or two types of communication. If you aren't able to respond, you will find communicating difficult.

3. Mimic the other species. Your creature communicates by mimicking the actions of other species. If they sing, you should sing. If they dance, dance with them. You may not always do the same dance or the same pose, and that's ok. Just as long as you click the appropriate button quickly after the other creature does, you should be ok.

4. Communicate with Alphas if you can. They are harder to communicate with and are usually surrounded by other members of the species (making communication even more difficult.) However, if you do manage to get through to an Alpha, you will earn a body part.

5. Communicate with as many species as you can. You earn DNA and have a chance at earning a body part for each species you learn to communicate with. Keep at it!

Tips & Warnings

• Try speaking to Baby creatures if you're having trouble. They are much easier to communicate with.

• Communications will not always be successful, even if you perfectly mimic the other species. Boost your communication stats, come back and try again if you fail. If communications fail repeatedly, either leave the species alone or wipe them out if you're feeling mean.
