How to Reuse a Paper Vacuum Bag

Here's how to reuse a paper vacuum bag in a pinch. Your bag is full, you don't have replacement bags...here's what to do.

• Trash bag
• Scissors
• Duct tape

1. The first method to reuse a paper vacuum bag is to shake the entire contents of the bag out through the hose sized hole in the top of the bag. Do this into a garbage bag. This is really messy and requires a lot of shaking, so you might do it outside.

2. The second way is to reuse a paper vacuum bag is to cut off the very bottom of the bag, straight across. Empty the contents of the bag through the opening.

3. Next, fold the bottom shut and place a duct tape along the entire length of the bottom, making sure it is completely sealed. Then, fold the bottom over onto itself about a half inch up, and apply another piece of duct tape all the way around the bottom. You'll have an empty vacuum bag with a duct tape seam.

4. These recycled bags do fine in a pinch, but are not recommended for long term use.
