Here's how to reuse a paper vacuum bag in a pinch. Your bag is full, you don't have replacement bags...here's what to do.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

The first method to reuse a paper vacuum bag is to shake the entire contents of the bag out through the hose sized hole in the top of the bag. Do this into a garbage bag. This is really messy and requires a lot of shaking, so you might do it outside.

  2. Step 2

The second way is to reuse a paper vacuum bag is to cut off the very bottom of the bag, straight across. Empty the contents of the bag through the opening.

  3. Step 3

Next, fold the bottom shut and place a duct tape along the entire length of the bottom, making sure it is completely sealed. Then, fold the bottom over onto itself about a half inch up, and apply another piece of duct tape all the way around the bottom. You'll have an empty vacuum bag with a duct tape seam.

  4. Step 4

These recycled bags do fine in a pinch, but are not recommended for long term use.
