Find Restaurants Where Kids Eat Free

Finding ways to save money is always a first priority. One way to save money is on food for your family. Dining out can be a treat but sometimes costly. With a little research you can find restaurants where kids eat for free or for very little.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Phone Book
  • Telephone
  • Pen
  • Paper
  • List of Local restaurants
  1. Step 1

The first thing you need to do is take out your phone book and turn to the yellow pages under the Restaurant category. Write down all your favorite restaurants name and then phone number. Also write down the names of restaurants you would like to try.

  2. Step 2

Next, when you have time, call the phone numbers and find out when or if the restaurants offer free kids meals or special deals for kids. You may find that some restaurants offer deals if the adult buys an entree. You can also find out what specials the restaurant is currently offering. For example: In my area, Ryans Buffet offers a special where kids eat for just 35 cents times their age. So if you have a three year old you would only pay one dollar and five cents. Also in my area, O'Charlies restaurant offers kids meals for free.

  3. Step 3

Once you have called the restaurants, write down the information beside their name and keep it handy. This way when you are about to go out to eat you can confer with your list and check to see who currently has the best deal.

  4. Step 4

Also check the paper or other local circulars frequently. Most of the time, they will have coupon offers or specials listed. Take advantage of these specials.

Tips & Warnings
  • Do not be afraid to ask for specials. Most restaurants may not list them but they are available.
  • You may spend 30 minutes to an hour calling restaurants, but you definitely will save gas and money by taking the time.
  • Break your call time down to just a few restaurants at a time so you are not constantly on the phone.
  • Make sure you are correct in your information on the special. You do not want to show up to the restaurant just to find out the deal has expired or has restrictions.
