Tired of eating pizza for every meal? This article will turn you on to some unconventional ways to make money during your college years.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Access to a college campus
  • Inability to feel shame
  1. Step 1

    Be a human guinea pig.

Sign up to be a paid participant in your school's pioneering scientific studies. You'll find dozens of open experiments posted on bulletin boards in the psychology department, and possibly even the biology and physiology departments. Many schools also recruit participants via the internet, so check your school's website.

  2. Step 2

Sell your old clothes to a second-hand shop.

You'll probably even be able to sell your most embarrassing garments to the local costume shop.

  3. Step 3

When people are moving at the beginning and end of the school year, take advantage of their trash.

Offer to take unwanted belongings off your friends hands and salvage your neighbors' discarded junk. Then sell it on Craigslist. In my experience, you can sell a mini-fridge for $50 to $100 dollars within half an hour of posting.

  4. Step 4

Offer academic help to lazy friends and classmates in exchange for a fee.

Depending on your area of expertise, of course. If you are fluent in Spanish, you can earn money tutoring; if you are an English major, edit your friend's term papers; if you are a math whiz, help them solve their homework problems.

  5. Step 5

    Take paid surveys.

Oftentimes certain departments will offer money in exchange for an interview or survey to assess teacher/curriculum effectiveness. Go for it.

Tips & Warnings
  • Don't chicken out of the experiments--they pay well and are less scary than you think
  • Make sure you're definitely getting paid for everything you do
