Find the leaves that you wish to preserve and experiment by using your microwave at different settings on leaves that you don't want to preserve (practice leaves)

  2. Step 2

Put the leaves of one kind of plant or tree on a paper towel and then cover it with a paper towel. Use only one kind of leaf at a time as different trees will require different settings and length of time to dry properly.

  3. Step 3

Microwave the leaves on a lower setting of your microwave from 30 to 100 seconds. Don't over bake them.
Unless you have a microwave with different settings, this method will not work. You will be microwaving them on "high" and the leaves will turn out like crispy krinkles.

Tips & Warnings
  • Will not work in a microwave that doesn't have multiple settings.
