How to Turn a Picture Into a Cartoon in Photoshop

Transforming a photo into a cartoon-style graphic in Adobe Photoshop might seem like a daunting experience, But in reality, you can easily create a cartoon image in a few steps.

Instructions

1. Open the desired image in Photoshop.

2. From "Filter," select "Blur" and "Gaussian Blur." Then set the radius to "3." You can play around with the number. But the best results are usually "3" or higher.

3. From the "Edit" menu, select "Fade Gaussian Blur." In the pop-up window, click the drop-down menu and set the mode to "Darken." If desired, you can modify the opacity.

4. Click "OK" and you're done.

Tips & Warnings

• Toy around with it.. the effect will work better on certain images as opposed to others. Have fun with it.. create.

• Don't blame me because you end up wasting your life away changing every picture on your computer into a cartoon.
