  1. Step 1

Read through the entire script at least once to get an idea of the flow of the entire show.

  2. Step 2

Record three different tracks of audio on your recording device: One track with just the lines that are your separated by about a two second pause, one with all of your cues and all of your lines as they appear in the order of the script, and one with just the cues for your lines.

  3. Step 3

Listen to the first track of audio with just your lines multiple times until you can tell what the next line will be each time and can say the lines along with the recording.

  4. Step 4

Next listen to the track with the cues and lines multiple times until you can tell what the cues are as well and can say them along with the recording.

  5. Step 5

Finally, listen to the recording with just the cues, saying your lines where they should be in the dialogue. Repeat these steps as needed and soon the lines committed to memory.
