How to make simple Chinese Fried Doughnuts
Simple Chinese fried doughnuts are a staple at Chinese buffets and other eateries with an Asian influence. Things You'll Need
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/3 cup butter
- 3/4 cup milk
- Oil
- Sugar
- Mixing bowl
- Mixing spoon
- Deep fryer
- Stove
- Plate

Combine the flour, salt and baking powder into the mixing bowl. Add in the butter, stirring the mixture with the mixing spoon.

Add the milk, then stir until a thick dough forms. Thoroughly knead the dough with your hands.

Tear off small pieces of dough and form them into round balls. Press each ball with your hand to flatten it.

Add enough oil to your deep fryer to cover about 2 inches of the bottom. Heat the oil on your stove's medium heat setting.

Add a few doughnuts to the fryer. Fry the doughnuts for about two minutes, or until the dough is light brown. Turn them over to fry the other side for another two minutes. Remove the doughnuts. Continue frying flattened dough balls until they have all been cooked.

Spread a thick layer of sugar onto a plate. Roll the cooked doughnuts in the sugar until both sides of each doughnut are coated.
