Learn how to make scrumptious pork chops that are tender and juicy every time!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • soy sauce, garlic, zip top baggie, pork chops, oven-safe grill pan, aluminum foil
  1. Step 1

Place your pork chops in a zip top baggie along with a clove or two of chopped garlic and enough soy sauce to coat them all. Seal it up and leave it in the fridge for at least 3 hours or overnight, if possible.

  2. Step 2

Brush some olive oil on your grill pan or spray with non-stick cooking spray and bring it up to medium-high heat. Go ahead and preheat your oven to 350 degrees also. When your pan is hot, take your chops out of the baggie and place them on the grill. Don't touch them until they are ready to turn or you won't get those beautiful grill marks! After about 3 minutes, flip them and tear off a piece of aluminum foil that is large enough to cover the top of your grill pan. While wearing oven mitts, place the foil over the pan and gather and crimp the edges of the foil to the pan so that you make a good seal.

  3. Step 3

Now send your pan into the oven for 15-20 minutes to finish cooking. The seal created by the aluminum foil will keep your chops moist and tender!

  4. Step 4

Serve with some whole grain bread and a couple of veggies, and you've got a healthy, low calorie meal! Above, I've served my pork chop with some stir-fried okra, half a butternut squash, roasted garlic and whole wheat toast. Enjoy!

Tips & Warnings
  • If you find the foil is not wide enough to cover your pan, you can join to strips together. Just tear off two strips of the same length, stack them on top of one another and fold one of the long sides up a few times. Now you can unfold your two pieces, and they will be joined as one wider strip that will cover the top of your pan!
  • When you are ready to remove them from the oven, be careful of the steam that will escape when you remove the foil.
