Things You'll Need:
- Apple Computer
- Mac OS 10.4
-
Step 1
about this macTake your cursor to the upper left-hand corner of your Mac desktop, under the Apple logo, and select "About This Mac". You will see a similar box to this example, which details what version of Mac OS 10 you are running, what Processor is running in your Apple computer, and how much RAM memory is loaded into your Apple computer. This is very helpful knowledge when explaining to someone what is in your Apple computer.
-
Step 2
more infoIf you would like to see still more info on your Apple computer configuration, click on the "More Info" box. A list shows up that details many things like memory, hard drives, audio, usb and firewire port. The example shown here shows the details of the memory on my computer. It is helpful to know which memory slots holds which memory stick. In my Apple Computer's example, if I would want to ever upgrade my memory, I can see which slot holds the lower memory stick and replace it accordingly.
-
Step 3
contents menuYou can also see what type of hard drive your Apple computer is using for your operating system by clicking on the ATA line in the Contents menu of About This Mac.
-
Step 4
apple computer informationYou can choose any word on the left-hand side of this box's menu to reveal more information on your Apple Computer.
