How to Burn an iTunes Playlist to a CD

Apple iTunes is a free media player from Apple. It is a tool that lets you download and organize music and videos. With iTunes, you can make playlists centered around any theme. The best part of making a playlist is that you can burn it to a CD and take your songs with you.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer with an iTunes library
  • CD burner
  • Blank CD
  • Sharpie pen
  1. Step 1

    Open up the iTunes application. This is usually accessed through an icon on your desktop.

  2. Step 2

    Party Shuffle playlist

    Choose a playlist that you want to put on a CD by highlighting the playlist name. Your playlists are displayed along the left side of the iTunes menu. If you don't have a personal playlist, you can always use the Party Shuffle playlist. The Party Shuffle playlist is a randomized order of the most often played songs from your iTunes library. When you have selected a particular playlist, the songs should be displayed in order.

    Insert a blank CD into the CD-burning drive. Make sure that it is of a type and brand that is compatible with your system. Most blank CDs are universal.

  4. Step 4

    From the iTunes navigation bar, select "File," then "Burn Playlist to Disc." Another option is to select the "Burn Disc" on the bottom toolbar towards the right.

  5. Step 5

    Wait a few minutes and then you will recieve a completion notice. Your CD is finished.

  6. Step 6

    Press the "Eject CD" button. Write the name of the playlist on the CD with the pen and you are done.
