Set an eerie mood at your house on Halloween with spooky windows. Make your windows into large eyes that peer out into the night, coaxing trick-or-treaters to stop by.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 large sheets of black construction paper
  • Orange tissue paper
  • Exacto knife
  • Masking tape
  1. Step 1

Lay the two pieces of black construction paper together on a work table.

  2. Step 2

Cut out the shape of an eye from both pieces of paper at once.

  3. Step 3

Lay the paper side by side so the eye shapes face the correct way.

  4. Step 4

Tape orange tissue paper over the eye shapes.

  5. Step 5

Turn the pieces of construction paper over so the orange paper is on the underside. The orange should show through, creating an eerie eye.

  6. Step 6

Tape the two pieces of construction paper into two windows.

  7. Step 7

Place a lamp on a table behind each one and turn it on.

  8. Step 8

Go outside and see your house glare back at you with spooky eyes.

Tips & Warnings
  • Draw the eyes you want on a piece of paper first so you can copy it while cutting the construction paper.
  • Be sure when cutting out the eye shape that you leave the round iris part in the eye so when the orange paper is placed behind it it looks like eyes staring out.
  • Do not let children use the Exacto knife.
