Don’t wait until the last minute to start studying for finals. You should start reviewing materials for your final exam at least a month ahead of time. This will give you enough time to get any extra help or tutoring you may need if you’re having trouble understanding any of the material. You might also want to consider studying in small groups so that you can help each other out. If you choose to study in a small group, you still need to review the material on your own, because you will be testing on your own and you have to know the material for yourself.

2
Review previous quizzes, tests and coursework. This can help you learn which areas you need to work harder in as well as give you an idea of the type of questions that may appear on your final exams. It’s possible that some of the exact same questions on previous tests and quizzes may reappear on your final.

Be sure to get enough rest the night before you take your final exams. It’s important to be well rested so you’re not tired during the exams and so you’re able to focus. Aim for at least 8 hours of sleep and set your alarm early to give yourself enough time to get to class so you’re not late for the final.

4
Eat a good breakfast the morning of your finals. Your brain will be nourished and able to work better. It’s also good to eat breakfast so that you’re not hungry during the test. Hunger during your finals can lead to discomfort from hunger pangs as well as making it harder for you to focus.

5
Try to relax before your exams. Listen to some music, take a walk or soak in a bath the night before your exam to try to give your brain a rest from studying and put your body in a more relaxed state. If you’ve studied, you should be well prepared, so keep telling yourself that you will do just fine. Always think positive and tell yourself that you will pass. Before you begin the exam, take a few deep breaths. Give your best effort and you should do just fine.
