How to Get a Joke Used in Magic Kingdom's Monster's Inc. Laugh Floor
In April 2007, Florida's Walt Disney World welcomed the Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor as its new attraction in Magic Kingdom's Tomorrowland. Utilizing digital puppetry technology, live actors perform voices behind a number of large digital screens where computer-generated monsters appear. This is an interactive show that offers a variety of audience participation, including the option for you to guests submit a joke via text message. This text messaging participation option is a great way for guests to take a chance on being a part of the show.
Instructions

1
Bring a cell phone that has text messaging capabilities with you to the show.
-
2
Follow the instructions on the screens in the pre-show queue area where you will be given a number of where to send the text to, as well as a code word to include at the beginning of your message.
-
-
3
Once you have typed the code word into the body of your message, think of a joke you'd like to submit. Only clean, family friendly jokes will be used, so don't bother sending anything raunchy, racy, or including bad language. It also helps if your joke has a Disney theme to it.
-
4
Before sending your message to the number given to you, be sure to include your name and hometown so they can be announced should your joke get picked.
-
5
Once your message is sent, you will receive an automated message back to you from Monsters Inc. star Mike Wizowski thanking you for your joke submission. This will ensure you that your message was sent to the correct place. If you do not get this confirmation message back, you probably typed in the recipient address wrong, so give it another try.
-
6
Pay attention at the end of the show and listen if your joke gets chosen. Generally anywhere between two and four jokes are used per performance.
