Have a blood test done after ovulation. Make an appointment with your doctor to do a blood test to help you determine your progesterone levels. Discuss with your doctor any concerns you may have and ask about methods to help you increase your progesterone levels if needed.

Time your luteal phase. Your luteal phase is when your period beings, at ovulation, then ends the day before the period ends. If your luteal phase is less than ten days, that is an indication your progesterone levels are low.
