How to Make a Goth Sock Puppet

Who says puppets are for preschoolers? Goth sock puppets, or 'gocks,' are cool for any age. Teens will love these "emo" puppets because they can decorate them with crazy neon hair, nose rings, and safety pins. Things You'll Need

• Black socks
• Buttons or googly eyes
• Small pom-poms
• Neon colored yarn
• Scissors
• Safety pins
• Old earrings
• Tiny chains from broken bracelets and necklaces
• Craft glue
• Glitter glue

Instructions

1. Rummage through your sewing box and find some buttons for eyes. You can also use googly eyes. Put your hand inside the sock and place your thumb against the other fingers so that the sock forms a "mouth." Take the craft glue and glue the buttons on the face of the sock.

2. Add a small pom-pom to the sock so it can have a nose.

3. Cut some yarn and glue it to the sock puppet's head. Make the hair as long or as short as you want.

4. Pin a safety pin next to one of the button eyes. Add more safety pins in other areas of the sock puppet to give it a goth look.

5. Attach a safety pin next to the nose. This will serve as a 'nose piercing.' You can also use an old earring or a tiny chain from a broken necklace or bracelet.

6. Use glitter paint to add some tattoos to the goth sock puppet.
