Step 1
Apply for a CVS Extra Care card, which enables you to earn extra care rewards for CVS pharmacy, store and online purchases. Go to the customer service desk or ask a cashier for an extra care card application. They are usually kept behind the counter with the cards attached to the application. Fill out the application with your personal information, including name, address, phone number and date of birth and turn the application in to the customer service representative or cashier. The information collected on the application will be stored in their system so that they can offer you special deals and savings which accumulate the more you use your card. Your card will be ready to use immediately.

Clip coupons and use them when you shop at CVS. Weekly newspapers usually include coupons for foods, household items, and other products. These coupons can be used at just about any store you shop in and can offer you more savings when shopping. You can also find coupons for specific products online to print out and use in the store. Just go to the website of the product you want and check for any money saving coupons.

Look at the CVS weekly sales ad and buy the products you want at a reduced sale price. Buying items at sale price combined with using coupons will help you to save money. Some items may be in-store sale only and won’t appear in the sales ad, so visit your CVS store to check for any in-store deals.

Shop online (see Resources) in addition to shopping in the store. The more you use your CVS card, the more rewards you will receive. You can redeem your extra care rewards online as well as in the store.

Take advantage of the CVS/pharmacy corporate gift card program. There are discounts for bulk purchases with a minimum order of $5,000. The card values can range from as little as $5 or as much as $500. The corporate gift card program offers discounted percentages based on annual purchases.
