If you're looking for a Christmas craft that the whole family or classroom can get involved in, try making a handprint Christmas wreath. Your kids will love to have their handprints all over this Christmas decoration.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Green construction paper
  • Glue sticks
  • Marker or crayons (optional)
  • Pictures (optional)
  • Hot glue sticks
  • Hot glue gun
  • Small craft bells
  • Medium-sized red craft bow
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  1. Step 1

Trace handprints onto green construction paper with a pencil. There is no specific amount of handprints that you need, but the more you make, the larger your wreath will be.

  2. Step 2

Use scissors to cut out the handprints that you have traced.

  3. Step 3

Form a circle wreath shape with your handprints, with the palms facing the center and the fingertips pointing out. Overlap the palms slightly, so that there is no space between individual handprints.

  4. Step 4

Glue the handprints together with a glue stick once you have them in a shape and design that you like. You can mix small handprints and large ones together to get a more creative-looking wreath.

  5. Step 5

Dab dots of hot glue in various places on the wreath, and attach small craft bells to decorate your handprint Christmas wreath.

  6. Step 6

Place one dot of hot glue in the center of the bottom of the wreath, and apply a medium-sized red craft bow to the dot of glue.

  7. Step 7

Apply photos to the handprints, or write everyone's names on the wreath to help decorate it further.

  8. Step 8

Hang your wreath up using tape or string, and enjoy your colorful handprint Christmas wreath decoration. Visit the Resources section below for information on other Christmas crafts.

Tips & Warnings
  • Sprinkle glitter, use photos or draw decorations on your wreath to give it a more creative look.
  • Supervise young children when scissors are in use.
