How to Play Scrabble Online for Free
Scrabble is a popular word game that was invented in 1938. Historically, Scrabble has been primarily played on a flat board. With the advent of the Internet, however, it has become possible, and even preferred to some, to play Scrabble online. There are several ways to go about doing this, and most are free.

Navigate to www.games.com. Click the tab at the top of the page labeled "Word" where the various games genres are listed horizontally.

Click "Free Online Games" on the left of the page. This is located under the heading "Genres" and under the genre "Words."

Choose the version of Scrabble you wish to play of the available options listed.

Click "Play Free Online" on the following page.

Make an account by registering your email address if desired. This option is available at the lower right-hand corner of the game screen, and allows you to chat with other players.

Join a game, and begin play.

Guide your browser to www.scrabulous.com.

Click the green "Sign Up" button at the top of the page.

Enter and confirm your email address on the next page in the supplied text fields.

Read the site policy that appears after entering your email and clicking "Submit." If you do not agree to these terms, choose an alternate Scrabble site. Otherwise, proceed.

Log into the email account you provided for your Scrabulous account. Open the confirmation email you receive from "admin@scrabulous.com" and click the link inside that reads "CLICK HERE TO ACTIVATE."

Choose a username and password on Step 2 of the Scrabulous registration page.

Log into the site on the left side of the page, join a game room and begin a game.

When registering with any Scrabble site that sends a confirmation email, check your spam filter to make sure the message is not blocked from your inbox.
