How to Make Alphabet Dice

Alphabet dice are a perfect addition to any word board game. With a little foil and paint, you can make dice that will be the perfect accompaniment to games that are both fun and educational. You could even use the alphabet dice as part of a phonics or reading game that will help kids learn to read and write.

Things You'll Need

• Aluminum foil
• Paint
• Flat edge of a butter knife

Instructions

1. Cut out a piece of foil that is 8 x 8 inches wide.

2. Crumble the foil into a tight ball.

3. Determine how many faces you want on the dice. It may be pretty gutsy and time-consuming to make a 26-sided die, but you could make several separate dice to include as many letters as desired.

4. Use the flat edge of a butter knife to shape the faces of the dice.

5. Paint the dice your desired color.

6. On each face of the dice, use permanent marker or paint to write the letters of the alphabet.
