Identify a Weimaraner

The Weimaraner is a smoothly coordinated breed that is athletic. It is very fast, making this dog a great one for agility competitions. It makes a good family companion and is good with older children, but may accidentally knock over younger children. Because this is an active breed, it needs daily exercise and training. It is also protective of its family and quite aloof to strangers, making it a very good watchdog. If not socialized when young, you could run into a problem with aggression. It is a very intelligent breed and can problem-solve.
