Instructions

    • 1

Purchase only extra virgin olive oil. The other types, such as pure and light, have been chemically processed.

    • 2

Pour some olive oil into a cup and dab your fingers in it. Rub it onto your skin to lubricate it and protect it from being cut while you shave.

    • 3

Rub some more olive oil onto the area you want to shave to obtain a slick surface. Use a new razor to shave the desired areas.

    • 4

Apply some additional olive oil after you shave if you think your skin is too dry. Don’t use commercial lotion because most of them contain parabens, which have been linked to the development of cancer.

    • 5

Immerse the blade of your razor in some olive oil when you are finished. After soaking it, wipe off hairs with a tissue. The olive oil will help preserve your razor.

Tips & Warnings

  • Rub some olive oil through the hair on your head to control frizzies.

  • Moisturize your cuticles and fingernails with olive oil.

  • Don’t clean your razor with water. Even if you dry it, the unpreserved finish will cause it to rust more quickly than if you clean it with olive oil.
