How to Install a Car Alarm in a Plymouth Voyager
Installing a car alarm in a Plymouth Voyager or replacing an outdated alarm helps secure the vehicle and its contents. Putting a car alarm in this vehicle requires a working knowledge of car electronic systems and a few hours. Every model year of the Plymouth Voyager has the same basic installation method but exact wire placements vary.

Read the alarm manual and wiring diagram carefully. Identify all of the components and connections. Open the hood and disconnect the positive battery cable.

Install the shock sensor per the instructions in the alarm manual. Run the wires to the driver's side dash. Connect the power lock module to the lock relay if the car is equipped.

Mount the siren in an open area in the engine bay, facing the engine to limit water exposure while driving. Connect the alarm power wire to the positive battery cable of the Voyager and run all of the wires to the driver's side of the firewall. Feed the wires through the firewall using an existing entry point.

Identify the starter wire in the ignition harness, behind the steering wheel and attach the start disable relay. Drill a small hole in the dash for the LCD light and snap the light in place.

Connect the power, lock, LCD, siren and start disable wires to the alarm control module. Secure the control module as far into the dash as possible with zip ties.

Reconnect the positive battery cable and test the alarm. Adjust the alarm sensitivity lever if needed and secure any loose wires with zip ties.
