Instructions

    • 1

Read the alarm manual carefully and identify all of the connections with a wiring diagram. Open the hood and disconnect the positive battery cable. Locate the engine harness entry point on the driver side of the firewall and verify there is room to feed three additional wires through it. Drill a new hole if necessary, placing the hole as close to the existing hole as possible.

    • 2

Locate the screws holding the lower dash panel and remove them. Depending on the exact model there will be four to six screws holding it in place.

    • 3

Mount the shock sensor per the manufacturer's instructions. Drill a small hole in the dash for the LED light and snap it into place.

    • 4

Identify the starter wire in the ignition bundle and the door lock relay in models that are so equipped. Connect the start disable relay and power lock module. The power lock relay is above the fuse box on models before 1996 or directly below the steering wheel in later models.

    • 5

Connect the power wire to the positive battery cable and mount the siren in an open area under the hood. Pull all of the wires to the entry point in the firewall and feed them under the dash.

    • 6

Secure all of the wires to the alarm control module and secure the module as far into the dash as possible with zip ties. Reconnect the positive battery cable and test the alarm functions. Adjust the sensitivity level if desired and secure any loose wire with zip ties.

Tips & Warnings

  • Older model Pathfinders are likely to have additional aftermarket electronics installed. Verify every wire carefully to ensure a safe and working installation.
