Bingo is an easy game for everyone at a baby shower to play, including small children. You can print out free baby shower bingo cards from the website linked to in Resources, or create your own using a word processor or desktop publishing program. You may want to print the cards on pink, blue or pale yellow paper or cardstock to go with the "baby" theme. For the bingo tokens, you can buy small baby themed objects at craft stores, or you can use pink or blue beads.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Cardstock or colored paper
  • Scissors
  • Clip art or stickers (optional)
  1. Step 1

In Microsoft Word (or another word-processing or desktop-publishing program), open a blank document. If you want to fit two bingo cards on a page, choose the "landscape" orientation, set the margins to 1/2 inch and set up two columns.

  2. Step 2

Insert a table or draw a grid with five columns and six rows. If you have two columns, insert a table or grid in each column.

  3. Step 3

Choose a cute font and type the letters “BINGO” at the top of the table. You can also use a custom 5-letter word such as GIFTS or LOVED. Type “Free” in the center square if desired, or insert a small photo or piece of clip art.

  4. Step 4

Use a different baby-themed piece of clip art to fill each space in the bingo card, or use numbers or baby-themed words instead.

  5. Step 5

If you have two bingo cards on the page, fill in the second chart with a different combination of pictures, numbers or words.

  6. Step 6

Save the bingo card file. Create more bingo cards with the same layout but a different combination of pictures or words, so that you have a card for each player.

  7. Step 7

Print the baby shower bingo cards on cardstock or colored paper. If you put two bingo cards on each sheet, cut the pages in half.

  8. Step 8

Make a page with all the baby pictures, words or letter and number combinations. Print out the sheet and cut apart the pictures, words or numbers to use as calling cards.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can also make baby shower bingo more challenging by combining it with a word scramble game, using scrambled versions of the words on the bingo cards and unscrambled versions on the calling cards. This way, the players have to unscramble the words to see if they have them on their cards. (This version works best if there won’t be young children playing.)
  • You can also decorate the bingo cards with baby-themed stickers instead of clip art, or you can use small digital photos.
