Step 1
By traveling to the Vietnam and Lincoln memorials, you will be touched by a sense of history and duty. However, when you have had enough of the serious side of our nation's past, why not cross the road and see the rather strange statue of Albert Einstein. It is not the most attractive of statues, but his famous E=Mc2 equation is displayed at the bottom. This is also a favorite photograph spot because the statue has a rather large lap perfect to sit in.

Step 2
Make an appointment to see the squished penny museum. This museum is actually in the owner's living room, which is why appointments are needed. Squished pennies as well as other coins from around the world boast one of the most unusual coin collections in the world.

Step 3
Take your holy water, bible and crucifix and travel to 3600 Prospect Street NW, Georgetown. Here you will see the outside of the famous "Exorcist" house and the infamous steep staircase where the priest met his fate.

Step 4
Seeing the national postal museum will give you a wonderful insight to how the mail service in our country came into being. There is another reason for seeing it, however. Owney, the unofficial postal mascot, is on display. Owney, a mongrel dog, was adopted by the postal service in 1888 and worked as a carrier until 1897. His body has been stuffed and is on display for all to see.
