How to Get the UFO Ending in "Silent Hill"
The Playstation survival horror classic Silent Hill has four standard endings that can be acquired by completing certain events during the course of the game. A secret fifth ending was added in by the developers as a joke to be uncovered by gamers. The secret "UFO" ending can only be viewed by beating the game entirely once, then completing specific steps when playing through for a second time.

Complete the game a first time in any manner you wish, getting any of the other four endings available.

Load your save file that you used on your first run through the game to start a "Next Fear" game. This mode of the game allows you to play through the entire game again, but with all of the equipment that your character previously had.

Travel to the convenience store situated near the end of Bachman Road and take the item called a "channeling stone" that can be found there.

Play through the rest of the game normally, but use the channeling stone item at several specific locations to trigger the UFO ending. The locations where the stone should be used are at the rooftop of the "Nightmare School" area, in the yard inside the "Nightmare Hospital" area, inside Norman's Hotel at the "Silent Hill Resort" area, in the boat at the Silent Hill Resort and on the roof at the lighthouse.

Watch the "UFO" ending occur after you use the channeling stone for the fifth and final time on the top of the lighthouse.

Tips & Warnings
After watching the UFO ending, you can start another new game; this time the main character will have a futuristic alien laser weapon to use.
