Instructions

    • 1

Take a bowl and pour in 1 pint of filtered or distilled water. Add 3 or 4 tbsp. of vinegar. Make sure this is straight vinegar and not a specialized cooking vinegar. Mix the solution thoroughly so that it becomes one consistent substance.

    • 2

Take the affected pot, which has stains on the inside of it, and place it on the stove. Pour the mixed solution in slowly and stir it again. Turn the stove on high and let the solution sit to a boil. It will begin to loosen up the stains in the pots and dissipate into the solution. Let it boil until one-third of the solution has evaporated.

    • 3

If there are a variety of tough stains in the pot, try adding a liberal amount of sea salt to the solution. Pour it in halfway through the pot’s boiling cycle. Pour it in lightly, stirring while you do so. You want the salt to be completely diluted. If saline solution is available, this can replace the water, and the vinegar can just be added to a pint of that.

Take the pot and pour the solution into a drain, then rinse out the pot. It may be best to wipe down or scrub the inside of the pot now with a coarse cloth or steel wool to get anything that was loosened but is still attached to the metal. Once done, run the pot through a heavy cycle in the dishwasher.

If all the stains are not removed during boiling, pour the same consistency of solution into another container and heat it to just below boiling. Take steel wool and use the solution to scrub away the remaining stains that are in the pot. This can be used in combination with an all-natural soap compound.

This should be done once a month to keep strong stains from forming. If you are working on dishes that are used in an industrial sized commercial kitchen ,then you should attempt it once every week.
