How to Fold a Hermes Scarf
Hermes is a leader in the fashion world. While the company now makes shoes, clothing and even perfume, its bestseller and most iconic item is far and away its scarves. Celebrities like Grace Kelly have worn the scarves off screen and on and even Meryl Streep slipped one on for her role in The Devil Wears Prada. There are a variety of ways you can wear an Hermes scarf, but before you put one on, you first need to learn how to fold one.

1
Lay your scarf on a flat surface and smooth out any wrinkles you may see. Turn on a diagonal angle or so that the scarf looks like a diamond shape. This will make it easier to fold for storing or wearing.
-
2
Fold the top corner down until the point reaches the middle and then fold the bottom corner up until it touches the top point.
-
-
3
Roll the sides down as in Steps 1 and 2 until you have what looks like a long snake. This way you can wear the scarf as a belt, a tie or even just wrap it around your hair.
-
4
Carefully fold in the sides until the the middle points sit on top of the other two points to form a perfect square. This is for those that want to fold the scarf up before storing it.
-
5
Make the square smaller by folding your square scarf in half lengthwise and then on the shorter side. You can now store your scarf in the box it came until you’re ready to use it again.

Thanks for the reminder. Scarves were a big accessory statement back in the 50's and 60's but I'd forgotten some of the tie methods. -
