How to Put Together a Wardrobe for Fall
As the season changes from summer to fall, the time has come to transition your wardrobe by putting together clothes and accessories for the fall season. Open up your boxes, take out those fall clothes and put them back on the front lines. Give your old fall wardrobe a fresh new look by shopping for newer clothes to keep up with the current style. Enjoy wearing your new wardrobe for the months to come until it is time for season changes again.

Check for any damage. Depending on where you stored these clothes, sometimes rats, cockroaches or other insects can find their way into your storage boxes and may damage your clothes. If there were any evidence of pests damaging your clothes, you would need to do the inspection outside of your house in case they may still be deep inside the box. Throw away the clothes that you see show signs of damage. Wash and mend to salvage the good ones.

Update the style of your wardrobe. For those clothes that have seen better days and that are out of style, you can either donate them to charity or do some updating by changing the styles by having a seamstress make some changes. You can also wear something that is about to go out of style but mix and match them with newer and more updated items.

Buy a new set of clothes. You can change everything you have, from dresses, shirts, blouses and pants, if your old fall clothes would no longer work. Buy clothes that are made of heavy material that are thick enough to withstand the cold, sometimes, wet fall weather. Buy a pair of trousers, sweatshirts, thick blouses, turtlenecks, skirts and dresses made of heavy materials such as denim, corduroy or velvet. Stay away from thin cotton and see-through materials like Georgette.
-
6
Choose clothes that are dark in color. Since it is the fall season, it is the time to choose warm colors such as tans, browns, blacks, deep reds, deep oranges, deep purples, dark blues and dark greens. Most of these colors have earth tones, which are prevalent during the fall. Stay away from bright, sunny colors that spell summer or spring.

Tips & Warnings
Buy clothes from vintage shops or thrift stores. There maybe some good find at bargain prices waiting to be discovered.
Don't over-spend by buying all name-brand items. You may end up spending far more that you can afford. You can buy one or two pieces of name-brand clothing or accessories that you can mix and match with those generic brands or designer clothes to save money.
