Things You'll Need:
- Alarm kit with vehicle wiring adaptors
- Passlock bypass module
- Zip ties
- Drill
- Screwdrivers
-
Step 1
Read the alarm manufacturer's installation manual carefully and identify all of the parts in the package. Open the hood and remove the positive cable from the battery. Connect the alarm's power wire to the positive cable and run the wire along the body and firewall to the driver's side of the engine bay.
-
Step 2
Locate an open area in the engine bay and mount the siren, facing the engine to protect it from water when driving. Run the siren wires along the firewall and feed the wires through the firewall using one of the existing wire holes in front of the steering wheel.
-
Step 3
Remove the lower dash panel on the driver's side by unscrewing three screws and pulling the panel out. If needed, install the bypass module per the manufacturer's instructions. Locate the power lock relay above the fuse box and snap in the alarm's power lock module.
-
Step 4
Mount the shock sensor as directed by the manufacturer and run the wires to the driver's side of the dash. Identify the starter wire in the bundle beneath the steering wheel and connect the start disable relay.
-
Step 5
Connect all of the wires to the alarm control module and secure the module with zip ties as far into the dash as possible. Secure any loose wires with zip ties and reconnect the positive battery cable. Test the alarm and adjust the sensitivity if necessary.
