How to Install a Car Alarm in a Chrysler Sebring

Read the alarm manual carefully as connection and placement requirements vary from system to system. Open the hood and disconnect the positive battery cable. Attach the alarm power wire to the cable and secure it along the firewall to the driver's side.

Mount the siren in an open area on the driver's side of the engine bay. Pull the wires along the body panel. Feed all of the wires through the firewall and into the cabin. Drill a small hole in the firewall if there are no available entry points.

Locate the siren and power wire under the dash and pull them into the cabin. Mount the shock sensor per the alarm manual recommendation and run the wires to the dash. Drill a small hole in the dash for the LED light and snap it into place.

Find the power lock relay under the dash of the Sebring and connect the power lock module. Locate the starter wire in the ignition harness and attach the start disable relay.

Install any additional options and connect all of the wires to the alarm control module. Secure the control module as far into the dash as possible with zip ties. Reconnect the positive battery cable and test the alarm. Adjust the sensitivity level as required and secure any loose wires with zip ties.
