If you find that the classic card game of War is too slow, try playing the Clone War Card Game. This game removes all the cards from the deck other than the face cards. This results in a game that is much faster and can be more entertaining as all the cards played are royal cards. There will be many more wars in the Clone War Card Game than in classic War.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 4 decks of playing cards
  1. Step 1

Find a friend or several friends to play the Clone War Card Game against. The minimum number of players for the Clone War Card Game is two, and the maximum number of players for the Clone War Card Game is four players.

  2. Step 2

Find four decks of playing cards. Remove all the cards from each deck except for the Kings, Queens and Jacks. This will result in a deck of 48 royal cards as the playing deck for the Clone War Card Game.

  3. Step 3

Deal an equal number of cards to each player. If there are an unequal number of cards, discard any cards that would give some players more cards than the others at the table. Direct the players to leave these cards in a face-down pile and not to look at them.

  4. Step 4

Direct each player to flip over their top card from their pile. If the highest card of the table is not matched by any other players, that player collects all the cards and places them at the bottom of his pile of cards face down. If there is a tie between players with the highest card face up at the table, a round of war is conducted.

  5. Step 5

Conducting a round of war involves each player in the tie playing one card face down in front of him and one card face up. The player with the highest face up card wins all the cards on the table. If the players tie again for the highest card at the table with their face-up cards, another round of war is conducted.

  6. Step 6

Continue playing until one player has all the cards at the table. That players is the winner.

Tips & Warnings
  • Remember a round of war is only played when players tie for the highest face up card on the table. Ties involving cards that are lower than the highest face up card do not result in a round of war.
  • If a player does not have enough cards in her hand to complete a round of war, she loses all of her cards. If all the players involved in the round of war run out of cards, the last card each player played is flipped up, and the winner collects all the cards. If there is still a tie, the cards involved in the war are shuffled and are dealt equally to the players that were tied.
