  1. Step 1

    Contact the ACLU: The American Civil Liberties Union of your state will have information about available about how to become a representive for their organization. The ACLU has been responsible for preservation of human rights under the US Constitution's Bill of Rights since 1920.

  2. Step 2

    Independent statewide companies: Companies that hire Prisoner Rights Advocates vary from state to state; however, all companies focus on the same mission: Ensure the rights of incarcerated individuals are upheld to the standards set by law and the state constitution. Do a google search for companies in your area that specialize in Prisoners Rights Advocate hiring and training.

  3. Step 3

    Check with Pro Bono Lawyers: Pro Bono lawyers in your area work for free or for very little money as a donation of their time in an effort to help the underprivileged who would not typically be able to afford appropriate counsel. Contact one of the known local Pro Bono lawyers in your area and ask them to direct you to a Prisoners Right Advocacy establishment.
