Things You'll Need:
- CAKE FLOUR - 2 cups ( its not all purpose flour)
- Granulated sugar - 1 and 1/2 cups
- Unsalted Butter - 1 cup
- Eggs - 4
- Milk - 3/4 cup
- Vanilla Extract - 1 and 1/2 tsp
- Baking powder - 2 tsp
- Salt - 1/4 tsp (optional)
- two greased and lightly floured 8' round cake pans

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease and flour cake pans. -
Step 2
Separate the egg whites and yolks, and beat the whites until soft peaks form, and set aside for now.

Sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt in separate bowl and set aside for now.

Step 4
Beat butter and sugar, until light and fluffy. Add egg yolks, one at a time and beat well between each egg yolk, Stir in vanilla.

Step 5
Beat in sifted , alternately with the milk, just until incorporated, and ending with flour mixture.flour mixture.
Using a wooden spoon, mix in egg whites. -
Step 6
Pour into prepared pans, and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick test comes out clean

Step 7
Cool for 15 minutes, tap pans into a cooling rack, and let your creative juices flow!@
