Step 1
Try simple solutions first.
-
Step 2
Have your husband turn on his side as he sleeps. Ask him to try a different sleeping position every night for a week in order to see if there is a sleeping position that lessens snoring.
-
Step 3
Have your husband try Breath RIght Nasal Strips. These sometimes help reduce snoring in the night by opening nasal passages.
-
Step 4
Try a fitted mouth piece. These can be purchased online and form fitted at home. However, because they are worn for long periods at night, they can cause tooth migration and other tooth and gum problems.
-
Step 5
If your partner's snoring is due to sleep apnea, there is a doctor prescribed option: a sleep apnea machine. These are small units with face masks that provide oxygen through a hose to the snorer. These machines have drawbacks, mainly the high price, and less than intimate oxygen mask.

Step 6
If snoring isn't a medical condition, and merely a nuisance, treat it like one. Don't become obsessed with your partner's snoring. Instead, use simple techniques to disguise it, like a noise machine, earplugs, or relaxation techniques.
