How to Shuffle Songs In iTunes So They Play Randomly

Here's how to shuffle songs in iTunes so you can hear a random playlist.

Instructions

1. Open iTunes.

2. Double click on a song in the iTunes browser in order to start playback. Or, just hit the play button at the upper left corner of the iTunes window.

3. Go to the Controls menu.

4. Select Shuffle Songs.

5. The songs in your library will now play in random order.

6. You can also Shuffle and un-Shuffle songs by single clicking the Shuffle Button. This is the second button (an icon of arrows crossing over each other) from the left at the bottom of the iTunes window. Shuffle is on when the arrows are bright blue.
