How to add special symbols to text in Mac OS X.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Go to the Finder. Under the Edit Menu, select Special Characters.

  2. Step 2

    This loads a palette of special characters for you to choose from.

  3. Step 3

    Switch back to the application you want to put the character in. Select the character you want on the floating palette and click the insert button. The character will be inserted into your text.
