Fruits and vegetables can have dirt, pesticides and other chemicals. It is good practice to wash all your fruit and vegetables.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • dish soap
  • scrub brush
  • colander
  • washes specific for fruits and vegetables
  1. Step 1
     

    After you purchase your fruits and vegetables, place them on counter or table.

  2. Step 2
     

    Place colander in sink. Turn water on until it runs at warm.

  3. Step 3
     

    Place a small amount of dish soap on scrub brush. Wash and rinse well. Wash each type of fruit or vegetable separately. Place on towel to dry.

  4. Step 4
     

    You can also buy special fruit and vegetable washes or fruit and vegetable sprays. Many are organic based.
