Confidence means freedom from doubt, a feeling of trust and belief in your self and your powers or abilities.
You are your most constant and intimate companion. It is important you understand yourself and have self confidence.

To build your self confidence:

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Determination
  1. Step 1
    Confidence

    Confidence

    Always:
    1. Focus your attention on your strengths and see yourself at your best.
    2. Be your self and affirm your worth.
    3. Stop comparing yourself to others because the other person might have something which you don’t have and vice versa.
    4. Firmly believe in what you say and do.
    5. Talk slowly, clearly, firmly and politely.
    6. Listen to others and appreciate their views.
    7. Accept your mistakes and apologise if you are wrong.
    8. Make sure you have reasonable knowledge on a particular subject if you want to talk to the person on that subject.
    9. Learn to use appropriate key words while expressing your thoughts.
    10. Shed your fear as it is not going to improve the situation in any way.
    11. Carry out duties according to your consciousness.
    12. Be straightforward in coming to your point.

  2. Step 2
    Confidence

    Confidence

    Never:
    1. Compromise if you feel that you are right and have done the right thing.
    2. Pretend that you know something, which you don’t.
    3. Show your ignorance.
    4. Expect sympathy from others, as it will be taken as a sign of weakness.
    5. Be afraid to express your views.
    6. React immediately to things—think twice before you speak or decide.

  3. Step 3
    Confidence

    Confidence

    Remember:

    1. No one is expected to know everything in life and there is nothing wrong in learning new things that one does not know even if it is learning from one’s juniors.
    2. Practice breathing exercise. It will help you calm down.
    3. Practice speaking in front of the mirror. It will help you conduct yourself in a better and mature manner.
    4. When others say things about you that you know are wrong, challenge them to prove that they are wrong.
    5. You are confident only to the degree you think you are confident. “Success does not always come to stronger or faster man, but it often goes to the man who thinks he can!”
    6. But beware of over-confidence. Over-confidence can be as bad as the lack of confidence. So take it cool…

  4. Step 4
