For those of you that enjoy the Tartar Sauce at Red Lobster, I think you would really like this recipe...

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Mayonnaise (I use Kraft)
  • 1 Medium Onion
  • 1 Small Carrot
  • Sweet Pickle Relish
  • Sugar
  • Small Bowl
  • Whisk or Spoon
  1. Step 1

When you are trying to duplicate a favorite restaurant recipe, you may not nail it exactly because you do not know the brand of ingredients that are used and also some of the commercial food and food items are pre-mixed and have additional additives to increase the shelf life. I think this Tartar Sauce recipe is as close to Red Lobster's as it can possibly be without you being in the kitchen of Red Lobster, taking notes and watching the sauce being made. This is very quick and easy to make.

  2. Step 2

    This is the recipe.
    1 Cup Of Mayonnaise
    1/4 Medium Onion Minced
    1/4 Small Carrot Minced
    2 Tablespoons Sweet Pickle Relish
    1 Tablespoon Granulated Sugar

  3. Step 3

Put the mayonnaise in a small bowl and add the other ingredients. Whisk or stir well. Cover and place in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving. It is even better if you make this a day ahead of time. Can be stored in the refrigerator for 4-5 days. Makes 1 cup.
