Love Your Mind, Body & Spirit

Are your days filed with agendas and meeting deadlines, counting calories, eating more fiber, taking vitamins, keeping up with the children, carpool, car repairs and practical self-love? Would you rather enjoy the simple pleasures in life? Every since I started writing about living your life to the fullest, I've seen a mad dash for the simple things in life that bring pleasure. People, women in general want to revive their minds, bodies and souls.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • What you'll need: a secluded space, different sized, shaped and textured objects of your choice.
  1. Step 1

These restorative 'me-time rituals' are experiences that are easy to implement and will enable you to marvel at the wonders of pampering rituals. These serenity filled moments enhance the creative nature and will heal areas of your life that are out of balance.

We work so hard to achieve our goals and acquire 'things' that we forget about the simple joys that enrich our souls. We question anything that we gain ordinary pleasure from. We question our own attempt to find love, peace and happiness so to speak. We have become so uninspired by life that we question anything or anybody that helps us get inspired about the small things that could make us happy. We have been so conditioned to work hard for our happiness that we deprive ourselves of playful spontaneity. Today we stop depriving and began enriching. Let's began with restorative rituals.

  2. Step 2

    Phase 1: Improve Your Touch
Let's begin by doing something very simple. Go to the secluded spot of your choice...it can be your special place, your lounge, or your bed. This skill will test your memory skills.
Close your eyes and let your body go limp. Bring the different sized and shaped objects to your secluded place. Examples are: frozen links, cucumbers, carrots, bottles, soaps, sponges, whatever.

  3. Step 3

For a week, practice on your memory skills to increase your awareness of shapes, sizes and textures. This also improves your ability to touch your partner in sensitive and more caring ways. Another good thing you can do is change out the items each day and discover how they come to life in your hands as you touch, feel, and caress them.

  4. Step 4

Now, close your eyes and bring out your sensitive side with each touch. Get mentally lost in how each object feels. Notice their shapes, size, textures, grooves, etc. This will help you become better at visualizing things by touch, texture and size.

Tips & Warnings
  • Memorize these objects.
  • Recall their size, shape, length, width and texture.
  • Think of each and compare their differences. What are your likes and dislikes about these objects. Y
  • You'll be amazed and excited about how good your memory is.
