Seedless Watermelon Funny Face

Make this watermelon funny face as a table centerpiece for a party - or a fun craft activity for your child.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Seedless watermelon
  • Bananas (half ripe)
  • Knife
  • Lemon Juice
  1. Step 1

Get a seedless watermelon and slice it in a circular motion. Try to keep the slice round and smooth.

  2. Step 2

Cut the tip of a banana about 1 inch thick. Then cut two circular slices of the banana from the same end.

  3. Step 3

Now slice the banana in a curve shape about 2-3 inches long.

  4. Step 4

Dip the banana pieces in lemon juice to keep them from discoloring.

  5. Step 5

Place the two circular pieces equal distance apart on the watermelon. This represents the eyes.

  6. Step 6

Place the pointed ban nana slice in the center about 1 inch below the two circular pieces to represent the nose.

  7. Step 7

Place the curved piece in the center about 1 inch below the "nose" to represent the mouth.

Voila! You now have a funny face using a seedless watermelon and bananas.

on 9/9/2008 Momofour - I LIKE the way you think!! lol.

Midnitewriter - My 5 year old grand loved it! I didn't want him handling the knife (of course) so I just let him help with the smaller stuff.

on 9/9/2008 How cute is that! You could add green or purple grapes to make curly hair too.
