How to Make a Delicious and Easy Prune Soufflé!

This soufflé makes a nice light dessert, an ideal conclusion for any meal.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 cups of dried prunes
  • 3/4 cup boiling water
  • 3 egg whites
  • 5 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  1. Step 1

    Put the prunes in the boiling water and cook, covered, until they are tender.

    Discard any water remaining. Remove the pits. Press the prunes through a sieve and cool.

  2. Step 2

    Heat oven to 350 degrees.

    Butter a baking dish.

  3. Step 3

    Beat egg whites until stiff. Add the sugar gradually, continuing to beat.

    Stir in the lemon juice, salt, and prune pulp.

    Gently FOLD the egg whites into the prune mixture.

  4. Step 4

    Pour the mixture, gently, into the buttered pan.

    Bake for approximately 30 minutes.

    Cool. Serve and enjoy!
