Learn how to remove sticky tree sap from your car's windshield. 3 simple steps to eliminate a sticky situation.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Paper towels
  • Goof off or Goo Gone products
  • Water
  1. Step 1

It's always a good idea to remove the sap as quickly as possible from a car windshield. It can become very difficult, but not impossible, to remove if it sits for a while. Try to remove sap in a cool dry place.

  2. Step 2

Grab some paper towels and goo gone or goof off. Carefully pour some goof off or goo gone on the paper towel. Carefully rub on the sap to remove it. Use circular motions for best results. Apply some pressure to the windshield, but be careful to avoid scratching the windshield.

  3. Step 3

Repeat step 2 as many times as necessary. Once the sap is removed, pour some water on a clean paper towel and wide the excess goof off or goo gone from the windshield. Make sure to remove all the goo gone or goof off. Enjoy your nice clean windshield!

Tips & Warnings
  • Do not try this on a very hot day. It could be harmful to the windshield if the chemicals bake on.
  • Be careful. Don't use too much goof off or goo gone.
  • Avoid spilling goof off or goo gone on painted surfaces.
