How to Make a Skirt out of a Pillow Case

Instead of throwing away old pillow cases, turn them into an A-line skirt with this simple tutorial.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• Sewing Machine (optional)
• Thread
• Sewing Needle
• Pillow Case

1. Cut the top of the pillow case off so you have an opening in the bottom and top. The more you cut, the shorter the skirt.

2. Turn pillow case inside out.

3. Stitch the sides of the pillow case inward to create a waist.

4. Fold over the top about 1.5 inches and stitch to create a casing for the elastic or drawstring. Don't forget to leave a small opening to insert the elastic.

5. Insert elastic and stitch the opening. Turn pillow case inside out, and try it on!
