      First you need to remove the urine completely. The longer that you wait the worse it will be.

      Dry the spot by blotting with paper towels, then mix three parts water to one part vinegar. Saturate the carpet with the vinegar mixture, then blott with paper towels.

      Next sprinkle the spot with baking soda.

      Mix 3/4 of a cup of peroxide with one tsp. dish detergent and sprinkle over the spot. Next using a rag or an old brush work the baking soda mix into the carpet. Allow ti dry and then vacuum it up. You may need to repeat if the smell remains.

    I adopted a couple of stray kittens this year and the cat that I already had was not happy. So I used the comfort zone plug in to calm her down and help stop the fighting. It probably took down about 75% of the fighting :)

    Very useful. And once in a while certain males cats -- even when contented -- will mark despite being neutered so it's not always a behavior that can be fixed. In which case, this article becomes even MORE useful!
